Alex Osterwalder

Business Model Canvas-inventor

Making strategy simple and applicable

A Swiss-born business theorist, author, and speaker, Alexander Osterwalder is most well known for his invention of the Business Model Canvas, a strategic tool for reflecting on and developing your business model. The tool invites you to consider aspects such as key partners, activities, customer needs and core values in order to identify relevant ways to move your business forward.

Alex is a co-author of several books, including the Business Model Generation and Value Proposition Design, and he is one of the most sought-after global speakers on strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

We are proud to announce that Alex Osterwalder will deliver the Thinkers50 European Business Lecture at this year’s forum, focusing on ways to lead an invincible company.

Bonus info: Last year Alex played table tennis with our participants in the coffee breaks. We have promised to set up a table again this year, so you might want to prepare for a session or two of ideas ping pong.
